  Rowledge School SEN group took part in a venture newly set up at Golden Vally. We took 6 eggs back to school and incubated them for 21 days. We are very pleased to say that 5 of the 6 hatched and have now been returned to Golden Vally to grow up. The whole experience has been Fantastic, not only did our SEN group have the responsibility of turning and caring for the eggs, and subsequently the chicks, but the whole school has been eagerly involved in the process. We are planning on buying some POL hens to keep at school to further the children's learning. I encourage other schools to take part in this amazing learning experience and feel sure that we will be returning in the future to do it all over again.   great farm, chickens well looked after and everyone is friendly and helpful, bought three great hens here, all laid large eggs everyday. Unfortunately we had to return the chickens (too many close calls with foxes in the area) but they had a very nice retirement pen for older chickens - was very happy with the farm overall
